the end of another year

long time, no Khai, I know. I've been working heaps and stuff. I'm tempted to write a threatening letter to whoever scheduled 6 back to back episodes of South Park on from 9pm till 12am on New Years Eve, thus rendering me alone since I don't really know anyone up here well enough to party with them, and Ben's watching South Park.I should actually make New Years resolutions, so I can break them. fun. umm.... hm. ok, here are a few... take more photos make more of an effort to keep in touch with friends make cool new web site buttons get the domain I want get back into doing designs catch up on the books I want to read you see, what with working now, I don't have much time to do the things I want to do, so some of that stuff is probably far off dreams. We're supposed to be getting drunk tonight, as Ben keeps reminding me. he said I'm like a snail, I forget to drink, and only drink fluids when I come across them in my travels. hmm. I bought this stuff called Heather Cream Liqueur [a cream liqueur blended with malt whiskey, and a faint touch of chocolate], real Scottish stuff for a surprisingly cheap $11, and a bottle of Heaven Hill. I'm a Jack Daniels girl, but somehow or another we got that instead, it is similar style whiskey and all that though. I don't think I'm ready for 2003, it feels like someone pressed the fast-forward button. speaking of which, I'm not sure I mentioned it before [probably three times already], but Emma, a friend from my high school group of friends, who moved to Australia mid way through... is pregnant. she's the first from our group. She's at Uni. over there and planning to finish studying and make it all work for the best, so I'm happy for her. as for me, I'm not too dissatisfied with my life at the moment. my job is ok - I wouldn't work there for any lengthy period of time, but it's ok for the summer. I know that it's just a job, and when it's over in 6 or so weeks I'll move on to more study, and a new job in Wellington. It's just a brick in the road in the perspective that 2002 seems in hindsight to have lasted all of ten minutes.
